Short version: this website collects nothing. There is no form, no account and no tracking. The only personal data we hold is what you choose to put in an email or tell us on the phone. We do not sell it, we do not use it for marketing lists, and the site sets no cookies and makes no third-party requests.

What we collect

The website itself collects nothing. There is no form, no sign-up and no account. Browsing these pages sends us no personal data.

If you email or call, we hold whatever that correspondence contains — typically your name, organization, contact details and whatever project information you choose to share. Our web host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.

Cookies, tracking and third parties

This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics, and contains no advertising or social media trackers. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third-party font service, so loading a page makes no request to any third party and discloses your IP address to no one but our host.

Email you send us is handled by our email provider in the ordinary way, as with any correspondence.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use your information to evaluate the project or site you are submitting, to reply to you, and to continue the conversation if there is a fit. We do not use it for marketing lists.

Where the UK or EU GDPR applies, our legal bases are: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in assessing and responding to inbound project opportunities. Contacting us is voluntary — there is no obligation to provide anything, though we cannot screen a project without enough detail to assess it.

Who sees it

What you send is received by Western Slope Energy. Beyond the firm, your information reaches only: service providers acting on our instructions — our email host and web host; and anyone to whom we are required to disclose it by law, regulation or legal process.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If a project advances, we will ask you before sharing anything with a capital partner, adviser or counterparty.

Where it goes

Our service providers are located in the United States. If you are writing from the UK, the EEA or another region with transfer restrictions, your information will be transferred there, protected by the safeguards our providers put in place — typically standard contractual clauses. You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply.

How long we keep it

Correspondence relating to projects we are not pursuing is retained for up to twenty-four months and then deleted. Where a project advances into development, records are retained for the life of the engagement and any further period required for legal, tax or audit purposes.

How it is protected

The site is served over HTTPS. Ordinary email, however, is not a secure channel and is not encrypted end to end — which is why a first email should be a first contact rather than a data room. See below.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object. Write to angela@wsnrg.comand we will respond within the period the applicable law allows.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights. UK and EEA residents may complain to their supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office. Residents of California and other US states with privacy statutes have rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing; as above, we do not sell or share personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

We make no decisions about you by automated means, and we do not profile you.

Children

This site is directed at businesses and landowners, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Confidential project information

Site locations, queue positions and landowner relationships are commercially sensitive. Treat a first email as first contact rather than a secure data room: send enough for us to screen the opportunity, and we will put appropriate confidentiality terms in place before you send anything further. Nothing in this notice creates a confidentiality obligation beyond what is described here or agreed in writing.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
